Quality Testing

The second phase of quality review consists of quality testing. Testing involves running and evaluating the eLearning system under specified conditions. While testing an eLearning system, we consider the following factors:
  • Specify test cases during the design of the course
  • Define a test environment
  • Specify the expected results, based on the test cases
  • Evaluate the results of each component of the eLearning system separately
  • Identify the defects/areas of improvement in the eLearning system
  • Implement any change request/feedback initiated by the client on similar eLearning systems

The steps involved in the Quality Testing phase include:
  • Mapping the frames with the storyboard to ensure that relevant text has been incorporated at the relevant place
  • Mapping the Menu and topic heading from the storyboard
  • Reviewing the frames from the visualization point of view. During this step, the QA teamverifies that the graphics and animations are relevant and add value to the course
  • Checking for font, alignment, bullets, and other formatting and consistency related issues
Verifying that all hyperlinks are operational
  • Verifying that correct video and voice synchronization has been applied
  • Testing the course on all specified Web browsers
